Whether it be touring a Newborn Intensive Care Unit and meeting babies and their parents, or contributing to the success of a fundraising event, their dedication and devotion to the work of Miracle Babies Foundation is evident through their continued support.

Scott & Ann Cam

Scott & Ann Cam

Scott Cam is one of Australia's most loved television personalities, with a laidback larrikin attitude that millions of Australian’s can relate to.

Scott first appeared on Nine's 'Backyard Blitz' in 2000 alongside Jamie Durie as the multi award-winning show's resident builder/carpenter, until the show's completion in 2007. During that time, the huge popularity of Backyard Blitz was acknowledged when it won Logies for Most Popular Lifestyle Program on five consecutive occasions, and Scott's general fun loving nature endeared him to the Australian public.

Scott featured in his own live lifestyle program in 2007, 'Our Place' and is presently co-hosting Nine's new lifestyle program 'Domestic Blitz' and 'Random Acts of Kindness'.

Scott also appeared on Nine's hugely successful 'Renovation Rescue' specials, which brought together the stars of Australia's favourite lifestyle shows as they offered a helping hand to someone deserving of a good turn, and of course to appeared on 'Burke's Backyard'.

Doc Neeson

Doc Neeson

Miracle Babies Foundation ambassador since 2010.

It’s a powerful presence and always has been; a commanding and compelling one that places him in a fairly elite corps in Australian rock. A vocalist, songwriter, musician, conceptualist and formidable front man, Doc Neeson is a performer of prowess whose influence has been felt well beyond these shores.

What had begun in Adelaide in 1970 as the Moonshine Jug & String Band and had evolved into the Keystone Angels coalesced into a juggernaut by 1978, when, having been recommended to Albert Productions by tour mates AC/DC, The Angels swiftly swept to gold with the Face To Face album.

Through the eighties and into the nineties there seemed to be always a molten Angels hit pounding out of the radio – Into The Heat, Stand Up, Nature Of The Beast, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Let The Night Roll On, Dogs Are Talking, Back Street Pick Up, Tear Me Apart and an outrageous live rendering of their concert staple Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again? among the run.

Then came a puzzling silence. In December 1999 Doc Neeson had been rehearsing for the ‘Tour Of Duty’ East Timor troop support concert that he was organising. He picked up his car at the airport and was heading to his home when he was massively rear ended by a truck behind him. After performing a blistering set at the Dili show, watched by a television audience of almost 4 million, Doc visited a spine specialist, who also happened to be a long-time Angels fan. “He said to me ‘Doc, I know your performance and how you go for it but if you keep doing what you’re doing you’re going to be paralysed for life. I’m sorry to tell you this but consider yourself retired’. So I entered 2000 as a retired rock’n’roller and it just seemed to go from bad to worse.

“I had to pull out of everything, including the Angels. An agreement was reached whereby if and when I could perform again, it would be under that name Doc Neeson’s Angels.” When he did return to some prominence, in 2005, it was not as but as the entity Red Phoenix. Working with Angels’ bassist Jim Hilbun and guitarist David Lowy, Doc breathed real fire into the band and its new songs. There was airplay, there were strong international reviews, there were some powerful, well received shows and there was wide relief and rejoicing that he was back doing what he did so uniquely, but, as he concede now, “It didn’t really happen. Among other reasons, I wasn’t as active or as able as I thought I would be.”

But that was then and this is definitely now. Coming on for six and a half years since his terrible accident, Doc Neeson has regained his health and fully resumed his career. Again with Hilbun and Lowy by his side, Doc has used selected shows over the past year, often for charitable causes, to tighten and prepare Doc Neeson’s Angels for a return to the rock arena. In fact his return will be multipronged. During August/September he will be an integral part of Countdown Spectacular 2 across Australia, followed by his own extensive touring activities. There will also be an acoustic album for the Liberation Blue label.

Doc Neeson has covered a lot of ground in his life. He has trodden the boards alongside fellow Irishman Chris Bailey (of the Saints) in Bad Boy Johnny & the Prophets of Doom, he has sung Beatle songs out front of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, he has startled Kinks leader Ray Davies sufficiently to have the Angels booted off a tour, he has been presented with an Australian Services Medal by Lt. General Peter Cosgrove, he holds the honorary title of roving South Australian Ambassador for the Arts, and he has been initiated in the first degree of the Usui System of Natural Healing. And there’s a lot more ground to be covered. Watch this space.

Rebecca currently does TV commercials, voice over and narrating work and her most important job of course is being a mum to her three girls.

"As a mum I know how hard it can be having a newborn baby, let alone having to live in hospital and not to be able to hold or take your baby home. I chose to be involved with this amazing organisation so that I can be part of a group of people who are giving sick and premature babies and their families the support and facilities they need. The people that I met and the unity and energy are something that will stay with me for a very long time. I am incredibly honoured to be an ambassador for Miracle Babies Foundation."

Geoff Field

Geoff Field

Miracle Babies Foundation ambassador since 2010.

Geoff began his news reading career at the tender age of 16 on radio 2ST in Nowra, on the NSW South Coast, where his mother used to drive him to work each day.

Geoff’s natural abilities as a newsreader were quickly recognised and he moved to Sydney where he worked for 2SM and 2UW, before taking a job at the city’s leading news-talk station 2GB. He remained there for 8 years presenting the news for Ita Butrose, Derrin Hinch, and radio legend (the late) John Pearce, among others.

In 1997 Geoff joined Austereo’s 2MMM-FM as news editor for The Andrew Denton Show. He quickly assumed an on-air profile on sister station 2DAY-FM reading news for Wendy Harmer and other top rating shows.

Geoff was invited to become newsreader for The Kyle & Jackie O Show in 2004. At this point in his life Geoff made the firm decision not to hide his sexuality, and while never officially outing himself, he is proud to be known as the first openly gay newsreader on Australian radio.

Geoff appeared on the Kyle & Jackie O Show until 2010, and his role called on him to do more than just read the news – amongst other things he read news while parachuting from a plane at 10,000 feet and while being dangled above a shark tank! In 2006 the long running “Scare Geoff” segment saw him dumped in the middle of the Australian desert from where he broadcast his humorous, exciting and sometimes poignant attempts to get home.

In December 2005 Geoff married Jason, his long time partner, in a service broadcast nationally on the Austereo network and Channel 7’s Sunrise program. Geoff hopes that by doing so many of the myths about gay people were dispelled. Geoff and Jason received over 20,000 emails of congratulations.

In 2010 Geoff started presenting Drive news on 2DAY-FM during the Hamish & Andy Show. He also began contributing to the nationally broadcast celebrity and gossip show The Dirt on the Austereo network.

Geoff can be heard every weekday on Drive on 2DAY-FM during the Hamish & Andy Show, and nationally on The Dirt. He can be seen regularly on Kerri-Anne on Channel 9.

Geoff is a great believer in helping the community in practical ways. He freely offers his services to numerous charities – speaking at community-based events, hosting fundraisers and contributing to mentoring programmes for young gay and lesbian people.

Every August Geoff helps raise funds for the Miracle Babies charity by running in the City to Surf event.
