Annual Charity Golf Day
Friday, November 27 2009
What luck, with rain all night, golfers woke up to a warm and sunny morning for the Miracle Babies Foundation Annual Charity Golf Day on Friday, 27 November 2009 at Camden Lakeside Country Club, Catherine Field. The Golf Day raised over $45,000 which is a tremendous result.
The four person ambrose event teed off at7.30 am and the course was full with this year's event being sold out to 148 keen golfers. Players had the chance to win a car from a Hole in 1, proudly sponsored by Macarthur Automotive of Narellan. Although no one was lucky enough to win the car everyone had fun trying. Gold Hole Sponsor Cyber Transport all had a great day.

The Miracle Babies Foundation Annual Charity Golf Day is dedicated to babies who have lost their fight for survival. Golfers play to win the Marcus David Pussell Shield. Marcus was born on 13 March 2004 at 25 weeks gestation (15 weeks premature). He was resuscitated at birth and required ventilation. On the 15 March 2004 Marcus' family had to heartbreakingly say goodbye when Marcus passed away from complications due to his extreme prematurity.
The proud winners of the Marcus David Pussell Shield for 2009 was Frank Bono, Laurie Bono, Craig Thompson and Roy Papallo of Team Airtek. The team won a great package including an APL poker table and APL poker chips kindly donated by APL Sydney South West.
After golf, the room was silent when an emotional presentation was made of some of the babies who have passed away. For these families, the courage to share their story is amazing and their personal growth each year is inspiring. A moment of silence was held to think all of the families who have lost babies and Miracle Babies Foundation is honoured to support these families through their journey.
Players then enjoyed a luncheon with entertainment of the live and silent auction, raffles, Pick a Sport and more. The event was MC'd by Alf Paranihi of Traffic Net who always supports Miracle Babies Foundation events.
Thank you to our Platinum Partners, McDonald's Australia Ltd, Myer, Krispy Kreme and APL Sydney South West for their continued support and all our sponsors, donators and guests for making the day memorable.
