Sun-Herald City2Surf 2010

The 40th Annual Sun-Herald City2Surf saw a record 80,000 enter the race, making the City2Surf the world's largest road race. For the fourth consecutive year the Miracle Babies Foundation Humidicrib along with an 84 Miracle Babies supporters made their way from Hyde Park to Bondi Beach.

With the week leading up to event producing some very nasty weather, entrants were lucky to wake to a very crisp winters day and perfectly blue skies.

Thank you to all the magnificent runners and walkers that not only completed the 14km journey but also raised an overwhelming $14,500 for Miracle Babies Foundation! An extra special thank you to everyone who took turns pushing/pulling the humidicrib and crossing the finish line in 2 hrs : 59 min: 31 sec

We were also so proud to have the support Brodie Donegan and her family. Brodie was hit by a car on Christmas Day while walking near her home in Ourimbah and not only sustained severe physical injuries herself, but also lost baby Zoe a few weeks before she was due to be born. While Brodie was lying in the Royal North Shore Hospital in January, wondering how long it would be before she could even take a few steps, she made a goal to complete the 2010 City2Surf and SHE DID IT!
