Miracle Babies Foundation NurtureGroupsare Play & Support groups for families who have experienced the birth of a premature or sick newborn.
Our aim is to create a safe and secure environment for children 0 to 5 years who’ve been challenged by prematurity or sickness in which they can learn and develop through play.
Parents/carers who have experienced a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN) understand issues such as corrected ages, operations, disabilities and developmental delays. The playgroup gives parents/carers the chance to meet regularly, share stories and form friendships.
We welcome all NICU and SCN families, regardless of gender, background, religion, ethnicity, disabilities, and medical conditions and we seek to show sensitivity and mutual respect for the different experiences, beliefs and values that people may have.

The Sydney NurtureGroups is held in conjunction with Liverpool Hospital's Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Staff that may be present: Social Worker, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Family Support Nurse. These professionals attend playgroup to offer support, expert advice and an informal assessment of your baby's development.

Due to the ongoing health concerns of children challenged by prematurity or sickness we do not allow attendance of children or parents/carers, who are unwell, have a temperature, sickness, diarrhoea, or who have an infectious disease.
