City2Surf Fun Run

The 2009 Sun Herald City 2 Surf saw an unprecedented 75,000 runner's take part in Australia's largest community event and the world's largest timed running event. For the third consecutive year the Miracle Babies Humidicrib made the epic journey along with an extraordinary 70+ strong team of Miracle Babies supporters.

The early morning start was especially wintry, but as the day progressed Sydney put on the most glorious day with warm sunshine and blue skies. The perfect conditions only added to the excitement, joy and wonder of the 14 km journey. As the Miracle Babies Team made their way from Hyde Park to Bondi Beach they were spurred on by cheers and messages of support from race bystanders and participants alike.

Thank you to all the magnificent runners and walkers that not only completed the 14km journey but also raised an overwhelming $13,000 for Miracle Babies! An extra special thank you to everyone who took turns pushing/pulling the humidicrib and crossing the finish line in 2 hrs:41 min:51 sec
