Miracle Babies 2nd Annual Ball

At the Liverpool Catholic Club, on Saturday, 2 June 2007, over 300 guests were treated to a captivating evening with fabulous entertainment, a sumptuous meal and a grand live and silent auction that stopped everyone in their tracks.

The true Miracle workers - Newborn Care staff with Miracle Babies Ambassador Vic Lorusso

The wonderful evening started with the help of volunteers from Liverpool Girls High School who greeted our guests as they arrived as well as serenading them in the cocktail area.

It was such a special night starting with a video message from our ambassador, 2DayFM's Jackie O. Our guest speakers for the evening were Dr. Andrew McDonald, Member for Macquarie Fields and Head of Pediatrics for South West Sydney Area Health and 2GB's Rev. Bill Crews, founder of the Exodus Foundation. It was great pleasure to also announce Vic Lorusso, Sydney's best traffic reporter on Channel 10 First at Five news and radio stations, MIX 106.5 and The Edge 96.1 as an ambassador of Miracle Babies.

The Master of Ceremonies was Steve Howard and his band The Capitols provided the entertainment which had the dance floor full.

The guests included family and friends, along with tables from Myer Liverpool and the Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway plus 5 tables of doctors (including our neonatologists and obstetricians) and nursing and supporting staff from Newborn Care.

Vice President Naomi Rohr provided a special slideshow presentation of her miracle boys, Caden and Eli, and their personal journey's into the world.

With this moving, story that touched so many, came a pledge for $25,000 from the Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway. This is on top of the $27,000 raised on the evening plus The AMP Foundation through Premium Financial & Retirement Solutions also matched dollar for dollar the first $10,000 made.

The ballroom held not only distinguished guests but an array of items that were donated from so many companies for our raffles, lucky door prizes, and silent and live auction presented by auctioneer, Doug Keen. Our fundraising team is becoming famous for organising so many prizes. These had our guests eagerly waiting for biddings to start and had hardly anyone leave empty handed.

Miracle Babies would like to again thank everyone involved with the success of this evening.
