Pushing for Miracle Babies
Congratulations to the team members who participated in the 37th annual Chevron City to Surf for Activ on Sunday 28th August 2011.
The West-Australian race, which began in 1975, includes a marathon, half marathon, 12km run/walk, 4km run/walk and a 4km wheelchair race. This year saw a record 42,000 people cementing the event's status as the largest community sporting event in Western Australian history.
More than 42,000 people registered to take part and in our first ever entry into the race we were delighted to have a passionate team of 50. Each took turns pushing the humidicrib 12kms from the race start in Perth CBD out to the coast and finishing at City Beach. Awaiting our team at the finish line was a chance to enjoy a well-deserved rest and lunch to refuel.
So much fun was had along the way and we thank you for supporting Miracle Babies Foundation and helping to raise over $16,000, a truly remarkable effort!
