WA’s Inaugural Picnic

The inaugural WA picnic for graduated NICU/SCN families held on Sunday 20^th November 2011 was a wonderful event. The day welcomed us with blues skies and sunshine as our miracle families arrived at Manners Hill Park Pavilion in Peppermint Grove.

 

The arrival of the Claremont Fire Brigade was the highlight of the day. A massive thank you to the officers who attended and encouraged the children to have fun role playing as fire fighters. They helped spray the fire hose and sat in the cabins of the fire engine and truck.

 

The bouncy castle was a hit, the children enjoyed running through bubbles and the face painter excelled with some gorgeous images. Cake and icecreams disappeared quickly and visits from McDonalds Hamburglar and Santa finished off the day.
