A smart way to give #DonateAtWork

We know times are tough and there is a lot of uncertainty right now. Whilst you may be looking to make a difference, you might be worried about stretching yourself too thin. We understand. That’s why there is no better time to start giving through your pay than right now. Diverting your tax to do good is a wonderful way to support the causes you're passionate about and it helps you too!

With Workplace Giving, your donation is deducted straight from your pre-tax income. That means you are actually saving on tax and you’re not touching the pay you take home.

You can make a significant and lasting impact to the causes you love, including Miracle Babies Foundation, without spending a cent.

Workplace Giving: The benefits for you as an individual

  • Workplace Giving donations are set up as a recurring donation, straight through your employer – it’s automatically deducted, so just set and forget.
  • You won’t even notice it – you will still receive the same amount into your bank account each pay.
  • BUT, you won’t be paying as much tax!
  • Your company also has the opportunity to match your donation (if they wish).

Don’t wait for your company, you can make the first move!

Through signing up to Good2Give, you have the power to initiate workplace giving with your employer. Good2Give is a platform designed specifically for Workplace Giving. Both organisations and individuals sign up through the platform directly.

As an individual, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Sign up to Good2Give (as an individual).
  2. Check if your company is participating, if not, follow up to see if they can sign up to Good2Give to support you and other employees who wish to give.
  3. Find the cause you want to support and complete the setup.

It’s that easy!

Note: If your employer isn’t on Good2Give they may already have a Workplace Giving Program in place. Speak to your team to find out. If they don’t, then ask them if they will support you on Good2Give.

Some organisations already supporting Miracle Babies with their employees on Good2Give include: Westpac Group, Australia Post, Ernst & Young, Pinnacle Investment Management and Vicinity Centres PM Pty Ltd.

What are you waiting for? Sign up as an individual now.

The Good2Give Workplace Giving Tax Calculator will devise how much you can save on tax each year, based on your annual income and regular donation amount.

For businesses: Why you should get involved

Workplace Giving makes sense – financially and ethically

  • Employees will appreciate the opportunity to give through a simple and tax-efficient process.
  • Enhancing corporate reputation increases your company’s charitable giving with little effort or cost.
  • Creates a positive partnership between you and your employees.
  • Allows you to monitor the amount of your company’s charitable giving.
  • Provides your company with an avenue to support your employees fundraising efforts through company matching if available.
  • The tax benefits are immediate. There is no need to organise receipts at the end of June and no risk of missing out on claims through lost paperwork.
