Chiesi, helping to provide vital education to families in the NICU and Beyond
Miracle Babies Foundation is proud to announce its newest Corporate Partner, Chiesi.
With over 80 years’ experience, Chiesi is a global pharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development and sales of innovative, therapeutic prescription medicines in the field of respiratory, specialty care and rare diseases. Chiesi Australia is the Australia-New Zealand division of the Chiesi Group, based in Melbourne, Victoria.

As part of the partnership with Miracle Babies, Chiesi will help to educate families via expansion of the Nurture E Information Hub, with the development of the Early Years and Preschool Years sections of the hub. Receiving an International Award at the 2023 EFCNI Parent Organisation Summit, The Nurture E Information Hub assists parents and children born premature or sick throughout all life stages, providing a one-stop hub, with collated evidence-based information covering associated health risks, disabilities, along with developmental or social challenges for babies born premature or sick.
Developed together with health professionals, the hub has been developed to empower families with greater knowledge and confidence to advocate for their child and for themselves through the critical development years and beyond, up until adulthood.
The partnership will also help to develop the 2024 NurtureGuide, a vital resource within the Miracle Babies NICU Survival Pack. The NurtureGuide assists parents through the overwhelming experience of having a baby spend time in specialised care, covering medical terms, information on procedures, what to expect in the NICU, caring for their newborn in specialised care, resources for support and family stories. All information has been developed closely with medical professionals, written in parent-friendly language.

Every year in Australia, around 48,000 require specialised medical care due to prematurity or sickness at birth. For these families, the impacts on their child’s health, development along with their own mental health can be lifelong.
Chiesi’s support will be valuable in enhancing the lives of these families, increasing help-seeking and early intervention, along with greater understanding of their child’s and their own risks, leading to better outcomes for the entire family unit. Petrol Vouchers will also be provided to selected hospitals to assist and help relieve families during this stressful time with their baby in the NICU or Special Care Unit.
