Miracle Babies Foundation is proud to announce its newest Corporate Partner, Infloran.
Infloran is a probiotic safe for premature and sick newborns. Formulated with Bifidobacterium Bifidum NCDO 2203 and Lactobacillus acidophilus NCDO 1748, Infloran helps to:
Premature babies are at increased risk of developing conditions such as Necrotising Enterocolitis (NEC) affecting the bowel, have poorer immunity, and are exposed to various factors which can have an impact on their gut health. Many factors including the mode of birth, diet, environment, and antibiotic use will impact the gut microbiome and in turn development and health.
Infloran was first introduced to the Nepean Hospital in 2012 and today the routine practice of bacterial supplementation with this probiotic is found throughout Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Intensive Care Units and Special Care Nurseries (SCN).
“Probiotics can be beneficial for babies premature due to compromised immunity and increased susceptibility to various conditions. Miracle Babies Foundation is proud to partner with Infloran which is used in NICUs and Special Care Nurseries across Australia and New Zealand. Further educating and empowering parents of premature and sick newborns is vitally important to Miracle Babies, and it is a privilege to partner with Infloran as we work together on this shared vision.” – Kylie Pussell, CEO and CoFounder, Miracle Babies Foundation
As part of the partnership with Miracle Babies, Infloran will help to educate families in the NICU or Special Care Nursery as they are engaging in feeding within the unit, or as they are discharged via Miracle Babies resource packs, distributed to families by medical staff. Infloran will also provide funding toward the Miracle Babies NurtureProgram services, to help more families access this vital support. This includes the Miracle Babies;
