Alivia's Story, 33 Weeks

Miracle Mum, Kahla is eternally thankful for the amazing NICU nurses and doctors who cared for her little-fighter when she had to leave the hospital without her baby.

"Alivia was born at 33 weeks and weighed a tiny 1.6kg. She’s now 10 months old and is healthy and happy, and very clever. She might have been little but she was such a fighter.

She was born via c-section after the placenta failed. I can honestly say the NICU nurses and doctors were amazing. I had so many incredible and talented people caring for my baby. Leaving the hospital without my baby was probably the hardest experience - one which still brings tears to my eyes.

Though it was heartbreaking, through all the trials and tribulations of bringing my daughter into this world AND THEN home I have nothing but gushing positivity for the team who cared for her when I couldn’t. My family is forever grateful for their hard work, dedication and compassion. It’s an experience I couldn’t have gone through without their support.

Alivia is the finish to our family, our little pocket rocket. She is definitely proving that little is still healthy - and awfully cute too!"
