1 in 10 babies are born premature. Tip In for Miracles in honour of World Prematurity Day.
Every year in Australia, 48,000 babies are born requiring the specialised care of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN). Of these, 27,000 are born premature and up to 1,000 babies will sadly lose their fight for life.
Having a baby born not as expected can be life-changing and it affects the entire family. Babies can go on to face lifelong challenges including disabilities, developmental delays or behavioural issues and parents are 2.5 times more likely to develop post-natal depression.
In honour of World Prematurity Day, 17th November, Tommee Tippee are asking the community to 'Tip In' to help raise much needed funds to provide vital emotional, peer support and resources to families experiencing the birth of a baby born premature or critically ill.
$143 provides support to one family throughout their hospital journey.
Jack was born 16 weeks premature, at 24 weeks gestation weighing just 658 grams. Your support will help families just like Jack’s access life-changing support from Miracle Babies Foundation. Read Jack's Story.
Help families like Jack's and join Tommee Tippee to make a difference to the lives of thousands of families across Australia.
