Sweet Ryder was diagnosed with ventriculomegaly and hydrocephalus at 19 weeks gestation. He was given a very poor prognosis, and Brett and I were told that our lives were about to be turned upside down.

Ryder was born at 36+5, with his ventriculo-peritoneal shunt being placed 2 days later. He was in NICU for 4 weeks with many ups and downs.

During Ryder’s time in NICU we met Megan, a miracle mum who now works to support other miracle families by running NurtureTime in hospitals.
We now attend NurtureGroup with Rachael who is also a miracle mum. NurtureGroup is the one place where the focus is on the parents rather than what is going on with our children.
