Nurture 'E' - The EEE Impact

The Nurture E Information Hub has been developed for families whose baby or child has been impacted by a premature or sick birth requiring care in a Neonatal Unit, or who has a prenatal anomaly, injury or medical condition that may result in ongoing health, developmental or medical challenges.
The Hub provides parent-friendly, trustworthy, evidence-based information and practical support to help you every step of the way.
Research shows that babies born premature or sick may have a higher chance of experiencing health, learning or developmental challenges as they grow and some of these challenges may not become obvious until later in childhood or adolescence. The Nurture E Information Hub is designed to help you understand what to look for, what is expected at different ages, when to seek support and where to find help.

How was it developed?
The Nurture E Information Hub was launched in 2020 and continues to be a growing resource through collaboration with parents and carers who have lived experience, adults born premature or sick, healthcare professionals, researchers and community organisations.
Every topic is:
- informed by the latest available evidence and research
- written in plain language for parents and families
- reviewed by healthcare professionals through our Clinical Advisory Team
- shaped by feedback from families to ensure it meets their needs
This collaborative approach ensures the information is accurate, relevant, practical and easy to understand.

Recognition
In 2023, Miracle Babies Foundation received an international EFCNI Award for Nurture E – The EEE Impact at the EFCNI Parent Organisation Summit in Germany. We were also invited to present the program at the FAOPS Congress in Tokyo, recognising the innovation and impact of this work in supporting families of premature and sick babies.
Nurture E has also been presented at the Australian College of Neonatal Nurses, Australian Adult and Infant Mental Health, Australasian Brain Club and Maternal Child and Family Health Nurses Australia conferences.
