Harrison, 23 weeks

Miracle mum Til shares Harrison's story:

At my 20-week scan, they picked up baby's growth and my placenta not where it should be .
Bub was measuring less than 10th percentile's.

We were booked in to the specialist team not at our local hospital. Never did we guess who wouldn't be attending that appointment. We started New Year's Day with myself going into labour on his sister's birthday to. Harrison was born at only 23 weeks at only 485 grams. The odds were against us, but he was a fighter. Many bumps in the road but the Tuesday support groups with miracle babies and other NICU mums was a great way to talk to people who understand exactly was you are going through. We ended up spending 144 days In hospital, one major surgery and oxygen. We were finally sent home after a long, long stay. We have 3 other children at home, run a company and every day life. The journey of micro prem and hospitals can be overwhelming and alot, I found support via the Facebook page for support as others in the same position as we were in.
