FRIDAY 27th NOVEMBER
THANK U NICU Day is a national day held each November to thank and acknowledge all Australian NICU and SCN staff and the miracle families they help to create.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions we are not able to attend our usual Morning Tea celebrations in the units. Packs will be available for hospital staff to celebrate together.
"This is a great way to say thank you to all the wonderful NICU staff. Families of these precious babies are so thankful to the amazing units that care for them through this critical time and we would like to acknowledge and showcase their efforts on Thank U NICU day." - Melinda Cruz, Founder said.
“THANK U NICU Day is such a special day to highlight the appreciation and care families have for NICU and SCN staff. They are there for us each day, the highs and the lows. We thank them all completely for caring for our miracle babies with such love and caring for us as parents.” – Kylie Pussell, CEO & Co-Founder.
"I love being able to go back to the NICU on Thank U NICU Day, as a parent being able to thank the amazing people who saved your child’s life is something that I treasure. It is lovely that each year the NICU staff get to see my daughter grow and become this amazing little girl. I will forever be indebted to these wonderful and caring people and having a morning tea is just our little way of saying thank you so much." - Nicole Hext, mum to Charlotte (born at 32 weeks).
"We had the Thank U NICU Morning Tea yesterday and it was fantastic. The Volunteer, Denise who had little Chloe and baby Jack were just brilliant and lovely. Dr. Kei and I just wanted to say thank you for organising – it was great." - Denise Gordon, Royal Hospital for Women, NSW.
Miracle Babies Foundation encourages NICU families to show their support and gratitude by submitting Thank U NICU messages through our website and social media channels.
