Theo, 33 Weeks

Miracle mum Kayla shares Theo’s story:

Just 18 months after our first premature journey with Daisee, we found ourselves walking a familiar path once again this time with our son, Theo.

At 33 weeks, my waters broke early, and we were rushed to hospital. Unlike with Daisee’s birth, I was awake for Theo’s delivery, and my husband was right there beside me for the emergency caesarean. Hearing his tiny cry and seeing him for the first time was an incredibly emotional moment one filled with relief, gratitude, and love.

Theo spent 20 days in hospital, and while those weeks were still hard, the experience was different. He was later transferred to a hospital closer to home, which made a world of difference for our little family. It meant we could be together more often, and Daisee could still have her mum and dad nearby.

The next day, Daisee got to meet her baby brother for the first time a moment we’ll never forget. From the start, she’s been completely smitten, and the feeling is mutual. Theo absolutely adores his big sister his eyes light up whenever she’s near.

Today, Theo is a happy, healthy 4-month-old, growing stronger every day and bringing so much joy into our home. After everything our family has been through, watching both our babies thriving feels nothing short of a miracle.
