Miracle mum Jordan shares Wyatt's story:
I was 31 weeks pregnant and we were doing grocery shopping and I thought I’d wet myself got home and my waters had broken, we then dropped our 3 year old daughter off my my parents place and headed straight to the hospital where I’d spend the next week being monitored, having iv antibiotics and having medication to stop labour
The following Saturday I would go into early labour and Wyatt would be born on the Sunday evening, I was almost taken to Sydney to have him as there wasn’t enough room for him in the nicu but luckily a space became available and he could be born at Wollongong. He was so tiny when he was born but also one of the biggest premie babies in the nicu and spcn, we then spent another 3 weeks in nicu/spcn, when he was born he was on cpap for not even 24 hours, he had to be treated for jaundice, we had a few set backs on going home but we got there in the end. If it is wasn’t for the nurses and the miracle babies info, the nicu would’ve been a lot scarier than what it was.
