On 1 November 2023 our twin girls Macie and Bailee were born at just 24 weeks gestation. They were rushed to NICU where their fight for survival began. At one week old Bailee was diagnosed with bilateral brain bleeds and we were told she may never walk, talk or eat independently. Just 26 days later we lost our precious Macie to a hospital bug that took her life. While grieving the unimaginable we continued fighting for Bailee as she endured heart surgery, eye surgery, a seizure, feeding tube surgery and multiple life-threatening infections. After 156 days in NICU we finally brought her home. At 9 months she was diagnosed with mild Cerebral Palsy but with early intervention she continues to amaze us every day. Without the incredible equipment and care in NICU, Bailee wouldn’t be here today. Please help us raise funds so more premature and sick babies have the same chance to survive and thrive.
