In Australia, every hour 6 babies are born premature or critically ill. On the night Cece & Rosie were born, within a couple of hours another set of twins were born prematurely and a singleton baby girl.

Babies born premature or critically ill can go on to face lifelong challenges and the experience affects the wellbeing of the entire family. These babies require specialised medical care and sadly, each year up 1000 babies will lose their fight for life. One is too many!
During our hospital stay Ben & I met another family who had twin girls born prematurely just weeks before ours. Sadly one baby lost her life and her twin was fighting for her life.
