Amy Brown

NurtureProgram Team Member - NSW

Amy has been a dedicated volunteer with Miracle Babies Foundation since 2026, drawing on her own lived experience to provide information, empathy and meaningful support to families and individuals navigating the neonatal journey.

Nineteen years ago, Amy experienced firsthand the challenges of having her son admitted to the NICU, giving birth 7 weeks early.

At a time when there was no service like Miracle Babies Foundation available to provide the understanding, guidance and emotional support she needed, Amy knows personally how isolating and overwhelming this experience can be for parents and families.

This experience is a key reason Amy is so passionate about volunteering today. She is committed to offering parent-to-parent support, a listening ear and genuine understanding to families who may be facing uncertainty, worry and the many emotions that can come with having a baby in neonatal care.

As a volunteer and Miracle Mum, Amy hopes to use her experience to reassure families that they are not alone. Through sharing her story and being there for others, she strives to provide the compassion, connection and support she wished she had during her own journey.
