Waiting can sometimes feel a bit long, and hospitals can feel busy or unfamiliar. Older children may not understand what's going on and why they are spending a long period of time away from home, school or activities.
But helping them feel included and supported is an important part of the families' journey.
The pack has been put together to help keep little hands busy, enjoy a quiet moment to themselves amongst what can sometimes be a loud and overstimulating environment. The pack is for hospitals to keep in their break out rooms, family rooms or waiting areas for families to share when they need something to pass time or wind down.
The contents of each pack will vary depending on what is available at the time, but generally it will be a reading book, a colouring book and an activity to do.

One pack will be sent at a time to hospitals who order it in conjunction with other resources and it will be shipped together. If a pack is ordered on it's own, we'll assign it to the hospital and put it aside and will send it once additional resources need to be ordered.
