Oakley, 30 Weeks

Miracle Mum Jasmine shares Oakley's story:

Around 8 weeks pregnant the doctors discovered i had a subchorionic hematoma which resulted in me constantly bleeding throughout my pregnancy, at 24 weeks pregnant I haemorrhaged at home in Moranbah, and then I was flown to Townsville University Hospital via the royal flying doctors for the remainder of my pregnancy as I was at high risk of other complications and preterm birth, they gave me steroid injections to help develop our baby boys lungs and magnesium to help his brain develop in case he needed to be delivered early. I managed to make it to 30 weeks pregnant before my waters broke and had a placental abruption. We are just so thankful for the amazing staff at the Townsville hospital and the staff in the special care nursery for keeping us and our baby boy in good hands.
