PHYSICAL MOVEMENT

High school age teenagers require lots of physical movement every day. Physical activity improves their coordination and strengthens their bones and muscles. It is vital for their health and wellbeing.

Physical activity like riding a bike, kicking and throwing a ball and dressing independently comes naturally to many kids, however to some it’s not so easy. Some teenagers need more time to catch up. In some cases, teenagers need extra help and support to improve.

For high school age kids it is crucial to identify and remediate any movement impairment because it interferes with their ability to explore the world, acquire future gross and fine motor skills and be involved in social activities with their peers.
