NurtureTime
SUPPORT
NurtureTime in-hospital support is facilitated by caring parents who themselves have experienced the birth of premature or sick newborn. Our qualified NurtureTime team members visit the hospital to offer peer, emotional support, guidance and hope. Parents, family and friends can ask questions, share their thoughts and feelings knowing the Support Worker has a shared experience.

Miracle Babies Foundation is increasing our vital cot-side support program for families during the critical care period. In partnership with several hospitals, we are now providing families 3 days of support in the neonatal unit each week. This continuity of care is embraced by families and health care professionals. We advocate for Zero Separation, Kangaroo Care and Family Integrated Care in the hospital. The relationship bond between the peer support worker and parent helps transition you from hospital to our NurtureGroups after discharge and your journey beyond.

Across 22 Australian Hospitals, NurtureTime provides an average of 1051 support interactions per month over a 12-month period.
NurtureProgram Support Workers work closely with the Social Work and Nursing Departments within the hospital, and are available for one-on-one or group support on-site in the NICU, Special Care Nursery, Antenatal and Maternity wards.
Part of a Miracle Babies team member's role at NurtureTime is to encourage the family to ask questions and be involved in baby’s care whilst in neonatal care. Tips and suggestions may be discussed in regards to coping with the experience and accepting all help and support the hospital can offer, including Social Work, Lactation Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health.
